For the uninitiated, Google allows users to upload and store unlimited images and photos in cloud pockets if you let them compress the quality just a bit. ![]() I’ve been backing up my pictures on Google ever since I got my first smartphone back in 2013. ![]() The only travelling that I'm currently engaged in is time travel via memories. They’re the digital equivalents of getting cuddles from loved ones that momentarily make me forget about all that’s not right. While they might seem random, they’re all remembrances of good times that just don’t seem to come across as often now. In case you’re wondering what these random bunch of words are, they’re some of my most recent searches on Google Photos. Wanting to be comforted in an instance, Google Photos has helped my mind traverse through rough terrain with a feature that’s just addictively good: Search. Given how the COVID-19 pandemic has prevailed with passing time, that feeling of listlessness has almost, to my dismay, normalized. Within these last few weeks, I’ve seemed to develop muscle memory to invariably reach out to the Google Photos icon that sits to the right side of my home screen every time I feel under the weather.
